A Brief History of Paul's Restaurants
(est. 1938)

1) Owner of Paul's Restaurants, Paul's Motor Inn and the Laurel Point Inn, Paul Arsens was a true tendsetter in the hotel and restaurant industry in Victoria. Here's Paul in 1958 in front of Paul's Restaurant, just one of several restaurants owned and operated by Paul. Paul's Restaurant still stands today as part of Paul's Motor Inn.

2) Paul was always up for doing something original and humorous. At times he asked for his billboard to be placed upside down or sideways to attract more attention. This photo by Big Jim Ryan made the daily paper in 1959.
